International Study Opportunities at HSWT
The growing international interconnectedness of our society can be experienced not only in academic and economic co-operation, but also in the classrooms of the HSWT: We offer students from different cultures and countries international study opportunities in the applied life sciences, and thus prepare them for a professional life that is not defined by national borders.
English-language degree programs
A core objective of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences is the international transfer of knowledge and thus the preparation of students for globally orientated professional fields. Several English-taught degree programmes contribute to this and are open to professionally qualified prospective students from all over the world:

German-language degree programs
For international students with an interest in Agricultural Management, HSWT offers the German-language Master's programme International Master in Agricultural Management at the Triesdorf campus.
Exchange Programmes for Incoming Students
Students from universities abroad can study at the HSWT as part of an exchange programme, e.g. Erasmus+ or SEMP, or as a Freemover and get to know the future-oriented green profile of the HSWT with exciting topics such as sustainable agriculture, environmental technologies and climate protection.
Incoming exchange students who are enthusiastic about green topics can take individual modules in one of the many degree programmes or participate in one of several English-taught programmes for exchange students. If you enjoy learning in an international environment and are interested in Germany and its culture, then you are very welcome!

Participation Requirements & Facts
- Enrolment in a relevant degree programme at a university abroad
- Nomination by the home university, if the stay is part of a university cooperation (e.g. ERASMUS+, SEMP).
- Language skills in the language of instruction of at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Duration: 1-2 semesters

Course Programme for Exchange Students
Exchange students and freemovers with or without German language skills can choose between taking individual courses, also called modules, in a degree programme or participating in an international study programme (module package with various focus topics). Both options enable the acquisition of 30 ECTS credits per semester. German-French Double Degree
The Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and the French university L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers have had a successful ERASMUS+ cooperation for a long time. In addition to student exchanges, both partners also offer a German-French double degree in the following degree programmes:
- Landscape Architecture
- Landscape Construction and Management
- Horticulture - Production, Trade, Services
Participation enables students from both partners to obtain a Bachelor's degree at the HSWT as well as an Ingénieur Grade Master's degree from the French partner university L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers.
