The Germany Scholarship
With the Germany Scholarship, companies and organisations as well as private individuals support talented and committed students. In addition to excellent academic achievements, these students also assume social responsibility or have successfully overcome obstacles in their own lives and education. With an annual donation of 1,800 euros, supporters give a young person a chance, establish contact with the young professionals of tomorrow and strengthen personal contact with our University of applied sciences. Supporters are invited, for example, to the annual festive scholarship celebration.
What is the Germany Scholarship?
The Germany Scholarship is the largest public and private support programme in the field of education ever seen in Germany. Since 2011, it has supported talented and committed students of all disciplines nationwide with 300 euros per month. Half of these funds come from donations from supporters - companies, foundations, associations, alumni, university members or private individuals - and the other half from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Positive image for companies & foundations
With the award of one or more scholarships sponsors arouse interest in their company or foundation at an early stage. They can make their scholarship holders aware of their company through personal contact, offer them an internship or invite them to events.
Their commitment as a supporting person or organisation is visible on the homepage and in publications of the University of applied sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf. Sponsors can also advertise with the Germany Scholarship logo on the company's or foundation's website.

Legacy fundraising for the future
With a testamentary donation, supporting persons can help shape the future beyond their own lifetime and strengthen their personal values. Because the lives of the generations that come after us will be shaped by the effects of climate change and the efficient and economical use of all resources. HSWT faces these challenges both in the education of its national and international students and with its research topics.
With a testamentary donation, sponsors have diverse and concrete opportunities to set priorities within the HSWT. The testamentary donation takes the form of a donation, a sub-foundation or the new establishment of a trust foundation.
We will be happy to advise you and look forward to hearing from you personally and making an appointment.
With their bequest, supporters can provide long-term and sustainable support for various projects and areas of the HSWT - for example, research projects that they consider important. They can award scholarships for international students or support the Weihenstephan Gardens, our experimental farms, laboratories and technology centres.
In this way, they promote a practice-oriented range of studies with which we prepare our students for the future in our globalised world.

Advice & support - becoming a mentor in Career Mentoring
In our Career Mentoring programme, specialists and managers act as mentors. They support students in their professional orientation during their studies and their career entry. As role models, they pass on their valuable professional experience and expertise to future junior staff.
The mentoring partnership involves a professional and personal relationship, it consists of regular meetings, discussions and exchange of experiences. The mentee and mentor:in themselves determine how intensive this will be.
The programme, which lasts about a year, regularly starts in spring. A supporting programme with various events rounds off the mentoring relationship.
