Sustainability and climate protection

In the Coordination Office for Sustainability and Climate Protection (KNK), the HSWT's Environmental Management, the B.Life Centre and the office of the Bavarian Centre for University and Sustainability (BayZeN) join forces and work together on tasks and topics relating to sustainability.

The Sustainability and Climate Protection Coordination Centre (KNK)

Sustainability and climate protection are cross-sectional tasks that affect all areas of our University of applied sciences. Due to our "green" focus as a responsible provider of knowledge and values of sustainability principles, we as HSWT have a role model character, which must be reflected above all in our own structures, processes and fields of action. For this reason, the Sustainability and Climate Protection Coordination Centre (KNK) was established in spring 2023. The KNK networks and provides information on sustainability topics and tasks at HSWT, prepares strategic decisions and pools all activities in these areas.

The KNK is made up of representatives from the Environmental Management team and the B.Life Centre as well as the office of the Bavarian Centre for University and Sustainability (BayZeN). The KNK is chaired by the president and sustainability officer of HSWT Eric Veulliet. The KNK integrates all future-relevant topics of sustainable development in the areas of university administration and operations as well as teaching, research and knowledge transfer, thus contributing to the anchoring and understanding of sustainability and climate protection at HSWT. With Environmental Management, the B.Life Centre and BayZeN, three powerful players come together to actively shape a large number of fields of action.
