Welcome to the Green Office, the sustainability office of the HSWT, which is open to students and staff at the Triesdorf and Weihenstephan campuses. It functions as a control centre for ideas or concerns about sustainability at the University of Applied Sciences. Do you have a suggestion on how the University of Applied Sciences can become a sustainable university? Then the Green Office is the right place to go. In addition, the various sustainability activities at the HSWT - in teaching, research, campus life and administration - are networked and supported here.

Too lazy to walk to the University of applied sciences, the supermarket or the train station? Then just take the bike! It's good for you and the environment. And if you have more luggage, why not borrow a cargo bike from the Green Office free of charge? (Mail to green.office@hswt.de)

Most students regularly travel home at the weekend. Why not do it together?
- Just use the new Whatsapp group!
- Perhaps you've already noticed the traffic signs with the green thumb? They are located at the university car park or on Triesdorfer Straße, for example. You can use them to hitch a lift or give people a lift.
- deer e-car sharing: After registering in the free deer sharing app, you can book a vehicle and set off. Locations are at the community centre, at the educational institutions and at Ornbauer Straße 10.
- Alternatively, you can use apps such as BlaBlaCar.
- Collective call taxi

The shared call taxi picks you up from an agreed bus stop and takes you directly to Triesdorf station or picks you up from the station and takes you to your destination right to your front door. It's best to use it for journeys with several people. You can find more information on the VGN website!

The cargo bike from the Green Office Triesdorf can be borrowed free of charge by HSWT students!
Simply send the signed proof of instruction to green.office@hswt.de

What is the role of the Green Office at HSWT?
- Networking and support of existing sustainability activities
- Greater involvement of students in sustainability issues
- First point of contact for students and university staff
- Anchoring sustainability in teaching, research and the university community
- Increasing the visibility of sustainability efforts
The thematic impetus for the establishment of the Green Office came from the 'National Action Plan Education for Sustainable Development'. The HSWT is thus taking the first step envisaged by the UNESCO World Programme of Action 'Education for Sustainable Development' (ESD) to structurally anchor sustainability in the German educational landscape. The participation of students is an essential aspect of this.
