On 25 May, the cultural scientist and managing director of the Max Schönleitner Society, Dr Kodisch-Kraft, gave a lecture on interculturality and food culture at the Weihenstephan Campus at the invitation of the Language Centre and the project team of the Centre for International Affairs (ZI): "I want to make you a soup that you will remember for the rest of your life - How our diet influences our identity". The event was funded as part of the DAAD project "HAW.International". The target group were students, lecturers and staff of HSWT.

Starting with the importance of food in fairy tales, the speaker examined culturally specific dishes, the different meanings of food and nutrition in Europe as well as its reflection in EU directives and current nutritional trends. The lecture was followed by a lively discussion between the participants and the speaker.

On 22 June, Dr Kodisch-Kraft visited the Triesdorf campus and offered the lecture there as well. The participants were interested and took the opportunity to exchange ideas at the end of the lecture. After the event, participants had the opportunity to round off the evening at the summer language festival organised by the AK Werk (working group of students for art, culture, politics and philosophy) with a food buffet featuring dishes from all over the world.
