Networking Meeting in South Africa
At the end of July, a delegation from the HSWT travelled to Stellenbosch University in South Africa for a networking meeting.
The representatives from the field of food technology, the Competence Centre for Digital Agriculture (KoDA), the Centre for Research and Knowledge Transfer (ZFW) and the Centre for International Affairs took part in an on-site workshop on the topic of agrifood.
The networking meeting, which was also attended by representatives from the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV and the University of Zambia, focussed on future cooperation in the agrifood sector.
Following presentations on the individual research focuses of the participants, breakout sessions were held on possible collaboration in the respective areas.
South Africa is one of Bavaria's focus countries in terms of cooperation with Africa and the delegation trip was financed by the Bavarian State Chancellery as part of the African-Bavarian Alliance for Applied Life Sciences.
