Lecturers/University staff

To further develop its international perspective, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences supports periods abroad undertaken by lecturers and university staff.

Education, training, and professional development

Both lecturers and staff in all areas of the university have the opportunity under the Staff Mobility Erasmus+ (STT) programme to visit a participating partner university of HSWT or a business for further professional development.

The period abroad should:

  • facilitate the exchange of technical expertise
  • present new opportunities
  • enhance staff skills
  • further develop collaboration with the university of applied sciences

Funding can be provided for the following:

  • periods of training (work shadowing, exchange of experiences, staff training weeks)
  • attendance at workshops, seminars, and language courses

The prerequisites are:

  • for stays at partner universities: a bilateral agreement between the home and host university
  • prior consent from the line manager
  • defined purpose for the period abroad
  • appropriate linguistic ability
  • preparation of a work programme and a final report
  • willingness in principle to reciprocate the visit

The period abroad should be no less than two days and no more than two months in duration.

Financial support includes:

  • Reimbursement of travel costs
  • Reimbursement of accommodation costs

Application is via the International Office, which will be pleased to advise you. All the required documents are also available there.

Mobility for teaching purposes

Lecturers at HSWT have also the opportunity under the Lecturer Mobility Erasmus+ programme (STA) to be a guest lecturer at a participating partner university.

The period abroad should:

  • enhance the European dimension of the host university of applied sciences
  • enrich its international teaching programme
  • contribute to the development of joint degree programmes and the exchange of teaching materials
  • further develop the relationship between the partner universities.

Teaching assignments in Europe can last between two days and two months (not counting travel times); teaching activities must comprise at least eight hours per assignment or per week commenced.

Financial support includes:

  • Reimbursement of travel costs
  • Reimbursement of accommodation costs

It is possible to obtain funding for a further period abroad, but priority will be given to lecturers who have not yet received funding under this programme.

Funding of teaching undertaken at HSWT by business staff from abroad (STA) is also possible to strengthen collaboration between the university and businesses.
