Landscape Architecture department

Landscape Architecture means transforming our environment for a sustainable future worth living. This includes knowledge about nature and ecology, the preservation and development of landscapes and living spaces, the planning of climate-friendly cities and the design of attractive places full of quality of life for all people.

Studying at the Landscape Architecture department

Our degree programme qualifies students for a wide range of fields of work. The focus is on the protection, sustainable development and structural design of both natural and man-made landscapes.

The department offers students Bachelor's degree programmes geared towards current needs with various specialisations in landscape design or management. Two international Master's degree programmes qualify students to deal with the major challenges of the future in an international and intercultural context.

Highly qualified, committed lecturers impart practical relevance while at the same time focussing on research. They support students in their personal specialisation in ecology and landscape planning, urban planning, drafting and design or construction and construction management. This makes studying a fulfilling part of life.

The creative atmosphere of the student studios and laboratories between gardens and green experimental fields creates the best conditions for this.
