Delegation from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa visits HSWT
The guests were given an insight into current research projects in various departments at Weihenstephan.
On 18 April Prof. Dr habil. Carsten Lorz, Vice President International Affairs and Diversity, together with the project team from the Centre for International Affairs (ZI), welcomed a dean and a group of professors from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) in Brazil.
The guests were given an insight into current research projects and applied teaching concepts in the fields of Biotechnology, Horticulture and Food Technology. Among others, Prof Dr Özlem Özmutlu Karslioglu and Marlies Resch presented the Food Startup Incubator Weihenstephan (FSIWS) at the Institute for Food Technology (ILM).
The visit was organised and accompanied by representatives of the Bavarian University Centre for Latin America (BAYLAT) as part of the Bavarian-Latin American Alliance for Applied Life Sciences project. The aim of the project is to establish long-term partnerships and cooperation with Latin American universities and research institutions in order to support the networking of university members in the Latin American region.
