• until 30.09.2001: Head of the research and development group "Experimental Fluid Mechanics" at the Chair of Fluid Mechanics and Process Automation Weihenstephan. Work on gentle conveying of biomatter in centrifugal pumps, on wort boiling in wort kettles with natural circulation and on high-pressure treatment of foodstuffs, whereby the development of an energy- and resource-saving high-pressure process for industrial practice was advanced in a successfully placed, large-scale research project with the German Federal Foundation for the Environment.

• 1990: Return to the Technical University of Munich, dissertation at Chair B for Process Engineering under Prof. Alfons Mersmann with the topic "On Turbulence in Stirred Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Fluids".

• After his diploma, he worked for 4 years at Münchener Medizin Mechanik GmbH as a product manager for the product group "gas sterilisers".

• Subsequently: study of process engineering at the Technical University of Munich

• 1980: Abitur at the Theresien-Gymnasium in Munich

• Born on 16.09.1960 in Starnberg
