"In addition to the possibility of specialisation (e.g. red biotechnology), it is also possible to take subjects from different biotechnologically relevant fields. At Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg, I was able to do my final Master's thesis in the Pharma Research and Early Development department. Through my task of establishing a cytotoxicity test with the aim of investigating the functionality of naturally occurring variants of selected synthetic proteins, I was able to expand my knowledge in the areas of cell culture, molecular biology, toxins and protein chemistry.
