Postgraduate Training Course Food Chains in Agriculture

The Triesdorf campus of the University of applied sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf is hosting the continuing education project "Food Chains in Agriculture" for African Master's graduates. Initiator of the project was Prof. Dr. Otmar Seibert. In a 5-month postgraduate course "Postgraduate Training Course Food Chains in Agriculture" [1], the maximum of 25 participants from African countries are trained in the following areas:

  1. Sustainable land management.
  2. Improving post-harvest processes.
  3. More efficient use of resources, including local production.
  4. Use of renewable energy
  5. Building agricultural product-specific regional value chains.
  6. Developing new (regional) markets for agricultural products.
  7. Founding entrepreneurial livelihoods
