Dr Tanja Kodisch-Kraft

The Max Schönleutner Society Weihenstephan (MSGW) was founded in 2008. Members from very different areas - companies and associations, for example BayWa, the farmers' association and horticultural associations, but also private individuals and students - have joined together to form a strong network to advance agricultural sciences in Weihenstephan. For some years now, the MSGW has also been sponsoring a Germany Scholarship at the HSWT.

The association not only wants to help students financially, but also to accompany and support them. Because a network for making contacts is perhaps even more important than financial support, says Managing Director Tanja Kodisch-Kraft. That is why she is happy when scholarship holders become active and she can, for example, establish contacts with companies for a Bachelor's thesis or a student job.

Kodisch-Kraft works at the House of Bavarian Agriculture in Herrsching as an education officer; originally she worked in intercultural cooperation. She is particularly interested in the transfer of science from the University of applied sciences into practice and vice versa, in order to learn from each other. The scholarship holders who are still studying now and later work in companies or in agriculture could play an important role in this. This is another reason why she considers it very important to establish contacts during one's studies.
