The Research Team assists in the development of innovative ideas through networking to successful application (national and international):

• Support in the development of ideas & general advice

• Information on funding programmes/research for funding

• Support in planning, application & processing of public research nationally/internationally

• Support in planning, drafting contracts & handling contract research and research services (e.g. extended workbench, contract analyses)

• Support in the initiation of cooperations

• Network maintenance: federal & state ministries, project management agencies, research & transfer management networks, EU-relevant networks

• Match-making events (especially in Brussels)

• Information on research framework conditions, e.g. research data management, open science, ethics

The Project Controlling team assists in the administration of successfully acquired projects (national and international):

• Administration & controlling of publicly funded projects nationally/internationally

• Administration & controlling of projects commissioned by companies (contract research, research services)

• Operational implementation of separation accounting (time recording, bookings, ...)

• Research data entry in the research information system (Bay.FIS)

The Knowledge and Technology Transfer team provides support in the publication, exploitation and transfer of research results:

• Research Marketing & Public Relations Research, Research Report HSWT.

• Knowledge transfer events: Planning, organisation & support in the implementation

• Advice on & handling of invention & patent applications together with BayPat

• Start-up advice & application for start-up funding

• Advice on open access publications, application for open access fund & support for publication registration Bay.FIS

The Graduate Support Team accompanies and supports those interested in doing a doctorate, doctoral candidates and doctoral supervisors. It offers advice and information on career paths in academic research and science. The services include:

• Contact and advice centre for all doctoral candidates and supervisors at the HSWT as well as for those interested in doing a doctorate, both internally and externally.

• Coordination of the BayWISS research training group "Life Sciences & Green Technologies

• Recording of (cooperative) doctorates & doctoral statistics

• Strategic further development & optimisation of the framework conditions for young researchers

• Introduction of university-wide graduate structures (support, supervision, networking, further education & qualification)

• Design of transparent career paths (to HAW professorship)

With B.Life, the HSWT provides a service platform dedicated to the transfer of research results related to climate change, protection and adaptation, as well as sustainable and climate-neutral land use:
