International Exchange: lived in the study programmes offered at HSWT
The growing international networking of our society can be experienced not only in academic and economic cooperation, but also in the lecture halls of the HSWT: We offer students from different cultures and countries an international range of studies in the applied life sciences, and thus prepare them for a professional life that is not oriented towards national borders.
English-language study programmes
The English-language study programme at the HSWT offers you an interdisciplinary selection of modules on the green topics of the University of applied sciences. Get to know the facets of sustainability thinking in different disciplines! Central topics relate to processes, technologies, management and soft skills in connection with sustainable natural resource management.
Accompanying the subject modules, you have the opportunity to take language courses - e.g. English courses, German as a foreign language or other languages at different levels - at the Language Centre.
The offer is aimed in particular at international exchange students, but is also open to German students at the HSWT. Do you have the professional background and enthusiasm for green topics? Do you enjoy learning in an international environment and developing your intercultural skills? Are you interested in Germany and its culture? Then you are very welcome!

Participation Requirements & Facts
- The application for international students is possible with relevant studies and takes place e.g. within the framework of a university cooperation, an exchange programme (e.g. ERASMUS+) or as a freemover.
- We recommend an English language level of B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
- Entry is possible in the winter and summer semesters.
- Duration: 1-2 semesters

English Language Modules in Weihenstephan & Triesdorf
The English-language study programme is designed for all faculties and comprises a module selection of approx. 30 EC (ECTS) per semester. An overview of the current module offer for the Weihenstephan Campus and the Triesdorf Campus can be found here:
German-French double degree
There has long been a successful ERASMUS+ cooperation between the University of applied sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf and the French university L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers. In addition to the student exchange, both partners also offer studies with a German-French double degree.
