With this scholarship, which is funded half by the federal government and half by 42 companies, foundations and private donors, the HSWT supports high-achieving and committed students.

Every year, President Eric Veulliet presents the scholarship certificates during a ceremony to which scholarship holders, sponsors and university teachers are invited, get to know each other and make initial contacts. Sometimes these relationships even lead to an internship or a Bachelor's thesis at the sponsoring company.

In addition to the awarding of the certificates, the many conversations and the live music, eight scholarship holders gave personal accounts of their careers and described what the Germany Scholarship means to them. Above all, the scholarship sum of 300 euros per month, which is also granted in addition to the Federal Education and Training Assistance Act, enables them to concentrate on their studies.

By awarding the Deutschlandstipendien, the University of applied sciences strengthens its ties to the private sector, associations and foundations. From the Freising region, BayWa-AG is involved with 20 scholarships, the Bayerische Staatsforsten, the Wurzer company, the Sparkasse Freising-Moosburg, the Hipp company from Pfaffenhofen and the Weihenstephaner Milchwirtschaftler, Bio- und Lebensmitteltechnologen e. V. association. In addition, the "Stiftung Zukunft jetzt! As a gift, the sponsors received a calendar with 24 pictures from the "Special Moments" photo competition, for which students had submitted pictures of their stay abroad.

The next application period for the Germany Scholarship will start online again in December this year.
