The tasks of the Senate include the interests of the entire University of applied sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf. It decides on the legal regulations to be issued by the University of applied sciences as well as on the establishment of new study programmes. Other important areas of responsibility are defined in Art. 35 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG).
