- Public Climate School
This open lecture welcomes everyone interested in understanding how our planet’s climate is changing.
The session explores how scientists make climate projections, what determines the predictability of future developments, and why some changes are already irreversible. It also highlights the crucial role of land and land use in shaping the climate and how landscapes themselves are affected by climate change. Participants will gain insights into current research and real-world implications, encouraging reflection and discussion on possible paths toward a sustainable future.
This event is part of HSWT's contributions to the Public Climate School, the open climate university. The wide range of activities on the topic of climate are free of charge and open to anyone interested – whether school pupils, prospective students, city residents, university students, employees, experts or practitioners: everyone is welcome.
Here you can find more information about the Public Climate School and the programme of events for the entire week (24 to 30 November 2025).
