Tour 2: The Allotment Garden

The Vegetable Plot

  • New and long-established vegetable species and varieties in beds and greenhouses
  • A range of more than 50 different herbs

The fruit display garden

  • Demonstration garden of berries and stone fruits that are capable of thriving in our climate and are suitable for planting in small gardens
  • Selection of varieties, growing and pruning methods

    Tour 4: From the monastery to the 'green heart' of Weihenstephan

    This cultural and historical walk takes visitors from the Lindenkeller cellar to the remains of the Weihenstephan Monastery via Weihenstephan Hill. After taking a look back at the lost monastic culture, the tour continues to the pavilion in the Courtyard Garden and examines the history of the 'green heart' of Weihenstephan in the former Akademiehof (academy building).

    Cost

    Cost per tour: € 95.00 | The tour guides are self-employed. The fee of € 40.00 due to the tour guides must be paid to them in cash at the end of the tour. We charge € 46.22 plus 19% VAT per tour. This money goes towards the maintenance of the gardens and the cost of organising the tours.

    Please note

    Only individuals authorised by the garden managers may conduct tours. We would be happy to organise a tour for you.

    For organisational reasons, we recommend that larger groups register for a tour in advance.

    Dogs must be kept on a lead in the Courtyard Garden and Parterre Garden. Dogs are not allowed in all other gardens!
