From business management to information systems, the Master’s in International Farm Management enables you to further your knowledge of agricultural business analysis and development. Students analyse agricultural production with a strong practical focus and conduct international organisational and cost comparisons. The Master’s in International Farm Management also includes application-oriented project work and team-based work in Germany and abroad.

Master’s in International Farm Management: Programme structure
The Master’s in International Farm Management places a concerted focus on application-oriented study, covering a comprehensive range of content from different agroeconomic fields, including business informatics. A variety of teaching methods, in particular project studies and computer-aided business simulations, ensure that students benefit from a practice-oriented education and team-based opportunities to hone their problem-solving abilities. The programme covers specialist content from international contexts through case studies and international organisational and cost comparisons.

Admission to the Master’s programme in International Farm Management
The International Farm Management programme has specific admission requirements. In the event that the number of applicants who meet the admission requirements is greater than the programme capacity determined by the university, the Examination Board will select successful applicants. In this case, supplementary application documents will be taken into account.

Admission requirements for the 1st semester (practical semester)
Admission to the 1st study semester (practical study semester) is subject to fulfilment of the following requirements:
- Strong academic performance – i.e. an average grade of “good” or better (in the German grading system) – in previous university-level study of agricultural science. The Examination Board for the degree programme decides on exceptions following an informal application.
- International applicants must also demonstrate adequate English language skills. Please refer to the Study and Examination Regulations and this document for further details.

Admission requirements for the 2nd semester (1st theoretical semester)
Admission to the 2nd semester (1st theoretical semester) is subject to the following additional requirements:
- Proof of successful participation in a practical semester or recognition of other practical periods by the Examination Board.
- All applicants must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of crop and livestock production technology. Students who do cannot demonstrate sufficient knowledge must take appropriate compulsory elective modules in the first theoretical semester and successfully pass the examinations.
