"Sustainable solutions in the agricultural, environmental and food sectors are no longer created solely through experience, but through the interplay of data, technology and the right application.

The fact that you learn precisely this combination during your studies is what makes the Green Digital Engineering Master's programme so exciting for me."

Why did you choose this degree programme?

I want to play an active role in making Agriculture more sustainable and developing concrete solutions. I am particularly enthusiastic about how sensors, data analysis or smart systems and artificial intelligence can help to make processes more efficient and utilise resources such as water or energy in a more targeted way. The degree programme is all about how technology can be used to develop sustainable and practical solutions for Agriculture, the environment and the food sector.

I'm studying part-time and am also working professionally with digitalisation in Agriculture. I realise that the potential of many digital solutions cannot yet be fully exploited. This is precisely why I want to gain a better understanding of how the systems work and how to develop them further in a meaningful way.

What tips can you give first-year students?

Be open and curious. Have the courage to ask questions and use the opportunity to exchange ideas with your fellow students, as the different professional backgrounds make the degree programme particularly exciting and offer the chance to learn a lot from each other.

The numerous exercises that specifically complement the lectures will deepen your understanding of the content in the long term and allow you to put what you have learnt directly into practice. At the same time, working independently on the project studies in a team offers you the perfect opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and further develop your team skills.

And most importantly: network, enjoy your time on campus and get to know lots of new people.
