Based on scientific, ecological, production-technical and economic foundations, the Master’s programme in Agricultural Management pursues the goal of conveying management skills in the field of sustainable agricultural and horticultural production systems, and the organisation of value chains. In this context, the term "Management" should be understood to mean the targeted and economic, principle-oriented conduct of the management, organisation and planning in the international agricultural and food industry. In this context, production must be made sustainable, environmentally friendly and socially compatible so that possible solutions to current challenges (such as nutrient flows and animal welfare) can be developed.
The acquired skills enable graduates to take on leadership and advisory roles successfully within various organisations in the agricultural, horticultural and food sectors. Other professional fields include upstream and downstream industries and commercial enterprises, as well as the service sector.
