The new Master’s programme in Agricultural Management at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences will welcome its first cohort in the winter semester 2018/19. The programme is jointly sponsored by the "Department of Horticulture and Food Technology (GL, Weihenstephan)", the "Department of Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Systems (AE, Weihenstephan)", and the "Department of Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition (LT, Triesdorf)".
This Master’s programme is aimed at graduates of Bachelor’s programmes:
and at graduates of similar Bachelor’s courses offered by the HSWT and other universities.
The degree programme teaches you to develop innovative and practical systems. On the one hand, you will learn how to improve the management of agricultural and horticultural businesses and help them adapt to new challenges in an environmentally friendly, location-specific manner. Here, the aim is to create sustainable, economically stable processes that use resources efficiently. On the other hand, you will be taught how to develop and design entire value chains.
The Master’s degree programme builds on the basic knowledge acquired during the Bachelor’s course of study. It consolidates and broadens your understanding of the systems that will play an important role in the future of the agricultural, horticultural and food sectors. You will acquire professional and methodological skills so that you can analyse, evaluate and optimise complex relationships.
