The production of agricultural raw materials, the processing of these materials into food and energy, and the assurance of high quality products are all challenges that lie ahead. The growth in agricultural businesses as a result of competition and the increasing need to protect natural resources requires constant adaptation in production engineering. This is a challenge not only for production engineering management. Advances in technology are also changing the way farmers operate and creating a need for detailed advice. The result is a growing need for young agriculturists with both agricultural and sound production engineering skills.
This bachelor's degree programme in agricultural engineering involves close collaboration with production engineering management. The university therefore feels that it is enormously important to offer students the opportunity to combine study with extensive practical experience. In this instance, students gain practical experience not only during the practical training semester but also during periods in which they do not have lectures.
