The Welcome Centre welcomes international first-year students
At the start of the semester, the IFC Welcome Centre invited international first-year students enrolled in the English-language degree programmes to a ‘Welcome Get-Together’.
Contacts make settling in easier
The newcomers learned about the services offered by the Welcome Centre and made their first contacts, which will make it easier for them to start their studies at HSWT and, of course, to settle into what is for many a very unfamiliar life in Germany. Students from higher semesters and staff from the respective degree programmes were also present to share their experiences. The international students enrolled in Applied Informatics, Climate Change Management, Digital Farming, International Environmental Engineering, Resilient Horticulture and Sustainable Regional Development.
From all over the world to HSWT
In Triesdorf, 25 Master's students from Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, Lebanon, Kenya, Cameroon, Ethiopia and Zambia came together and listened attentively to the experiences of students from higher semesters. The evening was rounded off with spontaneous dancing, and a variety of pastries, fruit, snacks and drinks were provided for the physical well-being of the guests.
In Freising, 30 students from Nepal, India, Ghana, Turkey, Uganda, Bangladesh and Pakistan accepted the Welcome Centre's invitation to exchange about their individual paths to HSWT and the exciting start of their studies over pretzels and snacks.
