GfE welcomes Prof Dr Petra Weindl as a new member
With the admission of Prof Dr Petra Weindl (HSWT), the Society for Nutritional Physiology is expanding its scientific circle.
The Society for Nutritional Physiology (GfE ) has accepted Prof. Dr Petra Weindl as a new member at its 80th annual conference on 3 March 2026. The Professor of Sustainable Animal Nutrition and Feed Science will be actively involved in the GfE's scientific conferences in future and will further intensify the exchange between research, the University of applied sciences and practice. The GfE is one of the most important scientific organisations in the German-speaking world and focuses on animal nutrition, feed evaluation, the derivation of supply recommendations and sustainability aspects of future livestock feeding.
New impetus for research and teaching
Prof Dr Petra Weindl has been teaching and researching at the Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Systems department since 2024. In her, the GfE has gained an expert who is intensively involved in future-oriented feeding strategies and sustainable research topics. The professor emphasises that the interdisciplinary exchange within the society will provide valuable inspiration for her research projects and enrich her teaching at the same time. Membership also strengthens cooperation between universities of applied sciences, research institutions and agricultural practice.
