The student tandem programme as part of the FAMFISK project recently ended with a digital closing event.

Over a period of six months, students from Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) worked together with partners from Université du Sine Saloum El-Hâdj Ibrahima NIASS (USSEIN) in Senegal and Maschinenring Foundation gGmbH (MRF) on practice-oriented projects with an interdisciplinary and international focus.

During the event, four students and one doctoral student from HSWT presented their project results. The topics covered ranged from technical improvements in agricultural mechanisation and the optimisation of processing technologies to soil-improving measures and approaches to increasing efficiency in animal feeding. The programme was supervised by professors from HSWT in close cooperation with the participating partner institutions.

A central component of the programme was a 17-day stay for the participants in Senegal, during which they further developed their projects together with local partners. The programme was supplemented by intercultural and technical preparation and follow-up sessions organised by Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) in cooperation with HSWT and MRF.

The Bavarian State Chancellery supported the tandem programme as part of FAMFISK. Special thanks go to the participating organisations and all those involved for their dedicated support and the successful implementation of the programme.
