Dr Timo Renz elected new chair of the HSWT University Council
On 22 April, Dr Timo Renz was elected as the new chair by the University Council of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT).
Dr Timo Renz is Managing Partner at the management consultancy Dr Wieselhuber & Partner GmbH, where he specialises in services and retail as well as the consumer goods industry. He has been a member of the University Council since January 2020. He succeeds Cornelia Horsch as chair, who did not stand for re-election after two terms in office.
The University Council supports the university management and fulfils supervisory board functions. For example, it elects the president and vice presidents and decides on the basic regulations as well as the establishment, amendment and cancellation of degree programmes. In addition to the elected members of the Senate, the University Council is made up of ten personalities from academia, culture and, in particular, business and professional practice.
