Exciting topics and experiments allowed the high school students to actively experience sustainability and renewable energies.

Practical and relevant to everyday life

On 25 and 26 September, we were able to inspire over 100 pupils from Laurentius-Gymnasium Neuendettelsau with a practical approach to renewable energies and sustainability.

Full of vigour and interest, the topics covered included

  • Photovoltaics
  • wind power
  • fuel cells
  • heat pumps
  • Nutrients in the environment
  • SDGs
  • etc.

The active involvement of the participants in the form of action-orientation and many experiments to try out for themselves was important. For example, the pupils built their own solar panels, which they could then use to charge their own mobile phone batteries.

High demand from schools

These events are made possible by the B.Life Centre at HSWT and are designed, organised and carried out by the team from the Centre for Professional Development, Climate and Sustainability. B.Life events are in high demand from schools and demonstrate the interest in practical events for pupils in the STEM field.
