Introducing the Diversity Office and the AK Queer Collective

In order to strategically anchor diversity at the University of applied sciences and raise awareness of diversity, a Diversity Office was established at both locations last year as part of the act@HSWT project. The Diversity Office promotes a discrimination-sensitive and equal opportunities environment through strategic (further) development, networking and counselling. Students are also actively involved at the HSWT and thus promote diversity. One of these initiatives is the AK Queer Collective, which is also involved in the Diversity Days. Join in - change of perspective through virtual reality

AugenBLICK mal! is a project that uses virtual reality glasses to analyse discrimination. In various discrimination situations, different perspectives can be adopted virtually and then discussed. The project raises awareness of issues such as bullying, racism and anti-Semitism, offers support for those affected and encourages civil courage. This impressive experience makes it possible to experience discrimination, marginalisation or social challenges from a new perspective - and thus promotes empathy and understanding.
