Awareness training on inclusion

Together with the Bayerischen Blinden- und Sehbehindertenbund e.V. (BBSB), Professor Birgit Schmidt invites you to an awareness training session in the Hofgarten. You can explore the Hofgarten with wheelchairs, rollators or special simulation glasses and experience the barriers that people face in everyday life.

Be part of the awareness training in the Hofgarten

Whether in a wheelchair, with a rollator, cane or with special simulation glasses that simulate various visual impairments - feel for yourself how public spaces change when barriers come into play. This impressive experience opens up new perspectives and sensitises you to the challenges that many people face in everyday life. At the same time, it shows what really matters when it comes to planning - for a University of applied sciences that is there for everyone.

The topic of „Barrier-free construction in outdoor spaces“ is an important part of the Landscape Architecture department's teaching programme. Professor Birgit Schmidt, together with the BBSB, invites you to an awareness training course in the Hofgarten on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, from 09:00.

Both students and staff are invited. Participation is limited to a maximum of 20 people.
