Our English-taught courses offer a wide range of multidisciplinary subjects that put the green focus of the university into context. The courses provide the opportunity to learn about the many facets of sustainable thinking in various disciplines. The emphasis is on processes, technologies, management, and soft skills in relation to the sustainable management of natural resources. In addition to the subject modules, you also have the opportunity to take English, German and other language classes at various levels at the Language Centre.
The courses are aimed at international exchange students in particular. Do you have the required academic background and a keen interest in green matters? Do you enjoy learning in an international classroom and developing your intercultural skills? Are you interested in Germany and its culture? If you are, then we look forward to welcoming you!
The multidisciplinary English-taught courses are offered by the various departments and comprise a selection of modules equivalent to approximately 30 ECTS credits per semester. An overview of all currently available modules can be found in the right column or below.
Students enrolled in a regular study programme at HSWT are also welcome to participate in the English-taught courses. Participating in the classes and being in contact with international students give you the opportunity to extend your subject expertise and language proficiency, and to develop your intercultural skills.

The switch from the Isar to the Loire is a rewarding experience, in terms of learning about a different country and culture and from an academic perspective.
The Agrocampus Ouest-Centre d'Angers developed out of a "Grand Ecole" and is located on a friendly and modern campus in a green suburb of Angers. Teaching and research and practice take place in close proximity to one another.
You will study in the attractive surroundings of the Pays de la Loire/Anjou in Angers - an historic city with the highest percentage of students in France.
The châteaux and gardens on the Loire are as readily accessible as Nantes on the Atlantic, Rennes in Brittany, and Paris.
In principle, it is possible to switch from a semester abroad at Agrocampus Ouest under the Erasmus programme to the German-French double degree programme.
The first 6 semesters, including the compulsory work placement in the 5th semester (Landscape Architecture/Landscape Construction and Management) or in the 6th semester (Horticulture), take place at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. From the 7th semester onwards, you study at Agrocampus Ouest-Centre d'Angers. In the 10th semester, you complete your final work placement and final dissertation with German-French support.
On graduation, you will obtain both a German degree certificate from Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (Landscape Architecture/Landscape Construction and Management: Bachelor of Engineering, Horticulture: Bachelor of Science) and a French degree certificate from Agrocampus Ouest-Centre d'Angers (Ingénieur Grade Master).
The International Office and the International Officers of the departments of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture will be pleased to advise you.
