General language test

Students who require a DAAD certificate for their language skills in all four disciplines (writing, speaking, reading and listening), e.g. for an internship or studies abroad, must take both the written and oral parts of the examination (see below).

Russian C-test to assess your language skills

NEW! The Language Centre is collaborating with the University of Tübingen to offer a C-test in Russian to students and university members with prior knowledge of Russian, as well as native speakers who would like to have their level of Russian graded, starting from the summer semester. The tests cover levels A1 to C2.
Participants in the test receive the following via an ILIAS link:

  • Details of the test structure and duration, information on the language specifics and use of the Cyrillic keyboard
  • Access to a short, mandatory video tutorial before the test
  • Short list of questions on your language background (optional)
  • Brief questions about your university and name (details of your institution and name must be entered if participation in the C-test is for grading purposes or for an end-of-term assessment; details of your institution and name are optional if participation is for test validation purposes).

Please register your interest by emailing sprachenzentrum [at]hswt.de
