The new name communicates the department’s objectives of addressing the ongoing social changes of our times and their associated challenges (climate change, food security and food quality) and to help find sustainable solutions.
The AE department offers the following three Bachelor’s degree programmes in the field of agriculture systems:

The Master’s degree programme in
equips the leaders of tomorrow to go on and develop sustainable operating systems and value chains.
The Bachelor’s degree programme in
covers the topic of energy systems. The need to ‘think in systems’ also forms a key aspect of this programme.
The department’s focus on the efficient and sustainable use of resources is also reflected in its research topics.
The aim is for sustainability to be the guiding principle connecting the department’s teaching and research activities.
