Green. Innovative. Practical. Welcome to Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, the German university specialising in green engineering courses. At the heart of all our courses is the natural world and our place in it. From molecules to landscaping, from energy to health – in all our degree programmes we focus on the efficient and sustainable use of natural resources. Our 6,000 students live and study on the largest green campus in Germany, made up of the Weihenstephan and the Triesdorf campuses. Our outstanding learning facilities include show gardens, pilot plants, laboratories, and a biotechnology centre. We work actively to preserve natural resources and ensure long-term competitiveness. We foster our students to become responsible engineers, and equip them with a first-class education with which to face the national and international employment market.
The safety of our students and staff is crucial to us. All university buildings and all facilities on the campuses are currently closed for students and external users. Operating hours (e.g. for advising services and departmental administrative offices) will be maintained. Please contact the university staff by email or telephone. It is not yet foreseeable how long the restricted operations will remain in effect.
The lecture period of the summer semester begins on 20 April and ends on 24 July 2020, with the exam period ending on 7 August 2020. Our university will offer as many online courses as possible.
