    Who can become a member of Alumni.Online?

    Anyone who has studied, done research, or worked at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences or its precursors, as well as any current members of the university, can become a member of Alumni.Online.

      How do I become a member?


      Interested in becoming a member of Alumni.Online? It's a quick and simple process!

      To begin with, all you need to do is register on Alumni.Online.

      Once you are registered you will receive an email with a link to verify your account, as well as your username. You can then log on to the portal straightaway. Please bear in mind that you will only be able to use the full range of Alumni.Online functions once your application has been validated and accepted by the university.

      Consent to the use of your personal data

      You are given the option of determining the purposes for which your personal data can be used. We require some basic information from you in order to set up your membership; this is why we ask for your consent to save and use you data at the end of the registration process.

      Activating the remaining functions

      We will activate your full account as soon as we receive your application and are able to verify your details. We will send you an email when this step is completed which will then enable you to use all of the functions offered by Alumni.Online.


      You can use the username sent to you by email together with the password you chose during registration to log in wherever you are at any point in time.

      What happens to my data?

      Data protection is our top priority

      We placed great value on properly complying with all data protection regulations when developing Alumni.Online.

      Apart from a few compulsory details which are needed to administer your membership, all other information is provided on a voluntary basis. Alumni.Online enables you to review and edit the information stored in your profile. You personal data will only be used by the university to the extent that you have given your express permission.

      When you decide to join the Community you have full control over which data is visible to other members, apart from your name:

        • Other personal information
        • Private contact details
        • Former study programme
        • Former employment position
        • Professional career path
        • Introduction.

        You can make changes to this information and to whether it is visible to others online. You can also remove these details from the site.

        Consent to the use of your personal data by the university

        The university is very keen on actively cooperating with its alumni. Are you available for mentoring, giving presentations or teaching posts? Does your company have any internship or trainee positions? If so, please provide details on this in your alumni profile. Provided that you have given your permission, the university would be very interested in contacting you about this.

        Information on the professional careers of our graduates is extremely useful for us so that we can continue to actively develop the range of courses which we offer. The university will only use the information you provide in this regard in an anonymised form.
