50 years of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences: The faces and stories

HSWT inside | Alexandra Beyer

Alexandra Beyer manages the libraries at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. They are open to all university members, even during the coronavirus pandemic:

  • borrowers email the library to reserve their books
  • they then pick them up by appointment during a collection time slot (Central Library on the Weihenstephan campus and/or Triesdorf Library on the Triesdorf campus).

The printed publications in all four sections of the university’s library can be borrowed – a good 145,000 volumes in total. In addition, the entire e-media inventory (56,000 e-books and 13,000 e-journals) of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences can be accessed both across the campus and from home at any time. To help with searches for specific literature for research purposes, Alexandra Beyer and her team provide support (currently by video call) on using the various databases and managing the literature references found. Long-distance lending – ordering literature (books and periodical articles) not kept at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences – is also possible.
