Welcome to the Department of Agriculture and Food Economy

The strategic objective of the Department of Agriculture and Food Economy (LE) is to produce generalists capable of working in positions of responsibility in planning, finance, implementation, consultation and project management at the intersection of science, engineering and economics.

The department offers the following degree programmes:

  1. A Bachelor's degree programme in Agriculture (LW), a programme dealing extensively with the primary production of food of plant and animal origin, economic issues in specific areas of production and the agriculture sector as a whole, as well as issues in agriculture-related sectors.
  2. Bachelor's degree programme in Agribusiness Marketing and Management (WA) which offers an academic education, dealing with the issues and problems faced by the upstream and downstream businesses of the agriculture sector.
  3. Bachelor's degree programme in Management of Renewable Energies (ME). This deals largely with issues of planning, financing and operation of systems for generating and using renewable energies.

Two Master's degree programmes are offered jointly with Technische Universität München (TUM).
