The OPAC (TouchPoint) for search and account functions

You can use the library's online catalogue (OPAC) to search the collection of titles held in the Central Library and departmental libraries and to make reservations, place orders and request renewals. You can view your borrowed items and the loan periods for each at any time by clicking on "Account".

You can also search the Bavarian Library Union (Bibliotheksverbund Bayern) and request inter-library loans by clicking on the "Database selection" button.

Please select the relevant view according to library location (the entire collection is always searched but results from the selected library branch are displayed first. You can then place orders between Weihenstephan and Triesdorf libraries).

In your browser window, OPAC is also referred to as Touchpoint (manufacturer’s name for the research system).

Please also note the detailed Help topics provided in OPAC or this guide (pdf, German).

Classification systems and library locations

Classification systems

The Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences Central Library uses the same classification system as the library at the Technischen Universität München.

The library at HSWT uses a different classification system for some subjects, however:

Different classification systems are also used at departmental libraries:

Library locations

Different library locations (e.g. Weihenstephan main library, Triesdorf/Forestry Libraries or store rooms) can be identified using the directory of library codes.
