How much does an inter-library loan cost?

Requesting a book via the inter-library loan service is usually free. If the original is not available for borrowing, a copy of the text is sometimes delivered that does incur a charge.

For the delivery of inter-library loans, a standard charge of € 1.50 is incurred.

When ordering, payment of the charge can be refused under Point 2 "Information on Delivery". The standard charge of € 1.50 must always be paid for copies of up to 40 pages, however.

The fee is calculated on the basis of the number of pages in the original item. Different fees apply for copies received from libraries outside Bavaria.

N.B. if you request an article, you must always pay the fee. The fee still applies even if you do not pick up the article.
